I am Patton Price, and I live in Portland, OR.

My intention with this site is to collect links to political developments that are underrepresented in the mainstream US media, but appear on the web. My belief is that alternative and international media need to be filtered and scrutinized and used as a primary source of information for those concerned with the historical ramifications of the US' current political course and temperament.

I would also be less-than-averse to having a couple of folks join in the fun here, hence the word Potlatch.  For the Tsimshian, and other peoples of the Northwest coast of North America, the Potlatch was somewhat of a wealth redistribution ceremony that took place whenever a significant social role changed hands.  Online, the real treasures are links, both hypertext and logical.  The web can function as a true marketplace of ideas, and this is my place to shop them.

My analysis on most matters will seem to be coming from pretty far left of center.  Perhaps this is true.  For what it’s worth, I’m very much interested in common ground that is emerging every day between traditional conservatives and traditional liberals, mostly in the form of shared opposition to the USA PATRIOT act and recent FCC deregulation.  It is my observation that there is no space whatsoever within neoconservatism for the US’ well-established libertarian right.  But enough about me.
